Ingredients
1 x Can of Garbanzo Beans (Chickpeas) Drained and Rinsed
60gm Unhulled or hulled Tahini, (Hulled has more Calcium as the husk inhibits calcium absorption, Unhulled has more fibre)
or
60gm of your favourite Melrose Nut Butter
Juice of 1/2 a Lemon or Lime
50ml Olive, Safflower, Macadamia oil
Pinch of Salt
1 tsp of Toasted Ground Cumin (optional)
1/2-1tsp Good Quality Curry Powder (optional)
There are many variations you could use
Method
Combine ingredients in a food processor adding a little water to thin to a smooth spreadable paste.
Great as a Dip or spread on Mountain Bread ( I like the Rye) with salad
